Zoomars x2
In April and May Ellie got to go to a little petting zoo in San Juan Capistrano called Zoomars. In April we went to her best friend’s birthday party there, and May we went with Aunt Jen. Ellie had a great time.
Tinkerbell was at the party and she was great fun! She read stories and lead a little dance. Ellie was pretty good and has been showing enthusiasm for dance, so I later signed her up for Mommy and Me Princess Ballet…pictures/video to come soon.
We thought it was pretty funny that it had a caution sign that said “children and chickens” at play..they should add in “awesome aunts”
April 2011
Meeting the Easter Bunny at the Mall. There was NO line!!!
Ellie’s Easter Egg Hunt with the MOMS club. She loved it!! This was her second one which was a lot better than the neighborhood one where she literally got 2 eggs and it was over!!
Storytime and dress-up at the Disney Store at the mall
more fun in the water at disneyland…this time Ellie was fully mobile!!
Ellie’s new Mickey Ears! Our little princess…complete with the shades, binky and blankie. This is about when Ellie started not being able to be in the car without her binkie and blankie.
This is at the Discovery Science Center when they had the Sesame Street exhibit. Ellie was in heaven…and so was mommy, she’s always been a fan of Sesame Street so it’s fun to see Ellie carry on the tradition.
More Hawaii Pics
Our Hotel..which we were on lockdown in the night before we left because of the Japan Tsunami and Earthquake! So scary to be right by the water and hear the tsunami sirens and emergency announcements all night long while watching the damage done in Japan thinking we were next! But boy were we glad to be high up so we didn’t have to evacuate and that Ellie slept through all the commotion!!
Getting ready for the beach!! Ellie had never been to the beach to swim!! She had a blast!!
Daddy dug us a nice little kiddie pool! Ellie spent a lot of time in there and attracted lots of little friends.
The Hilton Hawaiian Village was in walking distance so we visited the penguins and turtles, and did a little shopping!! Ellie knew she was stylin in her new shades!!
Ellie’s first lei and luau. She was quite the little charmer, practicing her manners and saying thank you. She has a way of making everyone who meets her fall in love instantaneously.
The poi balls were probably Ellie’s favorite part of the luau. These cute kids were sweet enough to give their newest fan a few lessons.
Ellie did a great job with trying all the different foods. She happily ate the fish and veggies and “nana” (fried banana). Notice all her jewelry though! When we were picking up the leis, there was a little flea market right outside and these Polynesian women fell absolutely in love with Ellie and kept giving her more and more jewelry because she was so dang cute and sweet, saying her thank you’s and all.
March 2011: Hawaii, Disneyland, etc.
By the middle of March, we were so burnt out from all the dr appointments for the pregnancy. We needed a vacation! Especially before we had a new addition to the family and before Mommy couldn’t travel in the third trimester. So we decided to take a family trip to Honolulu Hawaii! We got Ellie every gadget and toy we could think of for the plane ride and she did pretty well for the most part. The picture where she is sleeping on the plane was the only time she slept on the plane…10 minutes before landing!
confirming it’s a boy…the pic from February was from the fertility dr and we weren’t sure whether to believe it as their equipment wasn’t made for this type of thing!
Disneyland with Ellie’s BFF…
the mall with some other family friends…

being silly with her bestie, her cute panda hat, and playing Dr at her 18 month old checkup! She passes her development tests with flying colors and everything is great! And she is down to the 95th percentile in height/weight. (vs off the charts) =)

Visiting the Mormon Battalion in San Diego
December 29, 2010 http://lds.org/placestovisit/eng/historical-sites/san-diego-mormon-battalion-historic-site
We went to the Mormon Battalion Historical site in San Diego with Matt’s family during the Christmas break. They had fun activities like “panning for gold”, “riding horsies”, and pumping water to experience life as a pioneer.
Pretend City
January 3rd right before Aunt Janel and Uncle Derek left to go home to Michigan, Oma and Opa treated us and Karly to a visit to the Children’s Museum, Pretend City (except Dad had to work =( ) Ellie had a great time exploring all the different things there!!
Ellie chillin in the kid size house.
Ellie kickin it at the “beach”

They had a stage with dress ups, lights and music. Ellie decided to get down with her cousin Brookie!
